Έχοντας πια την τεχνογνωσία αλλά και την εμπειρία των δύσκολων συν- θηκών, η εταιρεία POLO συνεχίζει να βρίσκεται δίπλα στους τολμηρούς… Άνοιξη 1987 - δύο μόλις χρόνια μετά την πρώτη προσπάθεια κατάκτησης των Ιμαλαίων, έγινε και η πρώτη επιτυχημένη Ελληνική ορειβατική αποστολή στο Άμα Νταμπλάμ και στα Ιμαλάια γενικότερα. Στην κορυφή (6.812 μ) έφτασαν οι φίλοι μας ορειβάτες Μιχάλης Τσουκιάς, Χρή- στος Λάμπρης και Κώστας Μανάλης ακο- λουθώντας τη Νοτιοδυτική Κόψη. Armed with both the expertise and experience of enduring extreme conditions, POLO continues to stand beside the bold and daring. In the spring of 1987, just two years after the first attempt to conquer the Himala- yas, the first successful Greek mountain- eering expedition to Ama Dablam and the Himalayas as a whole took place. Reaching the summit at 6,812meters were our friends and climbers Michalis Tsoukias, Christos Lambris, and Kostas Manalis, following the Southwest Ridge route. GR ΕΝ Ο επιμένων νικά!
